Our Concord Home

Nurturehood was established to provide professional and loving care within a comfortable home environment. We believe elderly adults deserve comfortable, dignified living spaces even when independent living is no longer possible.

With room for just 6 residents (4 private rooms and 1 shared room), it is the smallest of our three homes, and every room opens onto a safe patio.

Staffing & Care

Nurturehood is licensed by the State of California as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, license #079200966. The home is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Background checks are conducted on all caregivers, and proper training is provided.

Residents may remain at home through the end of life, with hospice services coordinated in the house rather than requiring a move at the hardest possible time.

What are the house policies?

Individualized care plans for every resident; visiting pets welcome if vaccinated and leashed (resident pets are not permitted); community-led activities with professional facilitators; regular special visitors; and consistent family communication.

What payment do you accept?

Private pay and long-term care insurance. Cost depends on the level of care and the room, and is confirmed in writing before move-in.

Can we visit before deciding?

Please do. Call (925) 849-6208 and come and see the house, meet the staff, and look at the actual room your loved one would have.

Is there really a patio door in every room?

Yes. Every room has access to a safe patio area. It is one of the things families notice first.
